Cryotherapy

This procedure uses the application of extreme cold to freeze the enlarged turbinate bones to eliminate problems caused by them. The cold reduces the swelling and can help to restore normal breathing through the nose.

Electrocautery

Electrocautery burns away specific tissue that needs to be removed. The heat generated by the procedure cauterizes blood vessels and helps to minimize bleeding.

Celon (bipolar) radiofrequency ablation

The instrument used in this procedure creates a high-energy plasma cloud at its tip and is used to reduce the size of turbinate bone. Procedure is typically performed under light sedation or local anesthesia.

Coblation (bipolar) radiofrequency ablation

The instrument used in this procedure creates a high-energy plasma cloud at its tip and is used to reduce the size of turbinate bone. Procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia.

Cold Steel

Surgery with a scalpel most often requires that patients undergo general anesthesia while the surgery is performed.
